Tri-T20 Cricket Series: Australia Captured the Cup!

The Australian team won by 19 runs in the final match against New Zealand at the Triangular Liverpool on Wednesday in the tri-series T20.

The tri-series match between Australia, England and New Zealand started on the 3rd. Australia have won the series without a defeat in the series.

Earlier, New Zealand’s team Toss won the final on Wednesday in Auckland, New Zealand and first picked the bat.

The team scored 150 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs. Australia scored 151 for the win.

The rain interrupted when the team was playing. The team lost the match by 19 runs when they lost 121 runs in 14.4 overs, losing only three wickets in the rain.

New Zealand’s opening batsman Martin Kapil and Collin Monroe were dismissed in the first six overs of 21, 29. Captain Kane Williamson (9 runs) and Mark Chapman (8) were dismissed for the next wicket.

Ross Taylor later relaxed. But Kallin de Granthome returned to the pavilion in 10 balls to face 6 balls without supporting him. Chandler in 10.2 overs and Tim Seifer in the 12.4 overs were 101 for the loss of 7 wickets in the match.

Tim Southee and Ish Sodhi were dismissed in just few runs. Ross Taylor scored 43 runs in 38 balls, with Trent Bolde unbeaten on the field. At the end of the 20 overs, the team scored 150 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. Australia were bowled by Ashton Agar for 3 wickets and Andrew Dai and Kane Richardson each brought 2 wickets.

Australian opener DA Sharma scored 50 runs from 30 deliveries and was dismissed by Graeme Swann. Captain Warner (25) and Ashton Azhar (2) were dismissed. Gilles Maxwell was unbeaten on 20 and Aaron Finch 18. The Australian team was declared victorious by 19 runs due to constant rain.

Ashton Agar was the Man of the Match and Maxwell’s Man of the Match, who took 3 wickets in the team.

With this victory, the Australian team first took the first place in the ICC T20 rankings. New Zealand’s team was pushed to 4th with 116 points. Australia and Pakistan have 126 points each.
